Apple Unleashes iOS 6.0.1

Apple has today released an update to iOS 6 in the form of iOS 6.0.1, bringing with it a significant number of bug fixes and improvements to the latest version of their mobile operating system. The update is available now through software update, but in a little break from tradition, on the iPhone 5, the process is done through an iOS updater app.
The reason is that one of the bugs that the update fixes is that the iPhone 5 has trouble installing software updates over the air. Running the software update process in Settings>General >Software Update will download the app which will then install the update on your iOS device. It is a very straightforward process, and you can see the full list of bug fixes below.

The release of the tool follows on from the announcement by the company that they were working on software to remove the Flashback malware from Macs.
The update also has another trick up its sleeve in that it now prevents the Java web plug-in from automatically executing Java applets while browsing. However, if users wish to re-enable this, then they can do so by using the Java Preferences application.
