With the iPhone 5S set to launch on September 20, some physical Apple Stores as well as the Apple online store have already started giving indications of the limited stocks of the iPhone 5S that are available for the public to purchase. According to MacRumors, some retail stores in Australia, such as the Apple Store in Doncaster, have been informed that there will be no gold colored versions of the iPhone 5S available on launch day and that it may take up to three weeks to get any stock in.
In addition to this, the Apple online store in Australia has started accepting orders for the iPhone 5S, but indicating that some models of the iPhone 5S are debuting with a 7-10 day shipping estimate. As other stores have also started accepting orders, such as those in Hong Kong and Singapore, the stock shortages are becoming even more apparent, with iPhone 5S models not shipping until October in these stores.
It will be interesting to see how many iPhone 5S units Apple has dedicated to markets such as the US and the UK. With the device set to launch tomorrow, any customers hoping to pick up an iPhone 5S on launch day will either have to be extremely early or extremely lucky.
