MobileMe Customers Losing 20GB Complimentary iCloud Storage Soon

MobileMe customers who were given complimentary iCloud storage following the transition to the new Apple cloud storage system are being notified that they will soon be losing the complimentary space. According to MacRumors, Apple has begun sending notifications to paid-up MobileMe subscribers who received 20GB of complimentary storage when iCloud launched in 2011, replacing MobileMe. The complimentary iCloud storage will cease on September 30, 2013.

Customers who were given the complimentary storage can extend their premium iCloud storage by purchasing a paid iCloud plan before their term expires. iCloud customers on free plans are typically given 5GB of storage and so anything above this will require a paid iCloud plan.
