Apple Starts Rolling Out iOS 6.1.1

Apple has started distributing an update to iOS 6 in the form of iOS 6.1.1. The company has just released iOS 6.1.1 specifically for the iPhone 4S as an Over-The-Air (OTA) update. The software update weighs in at 23 MB in size and is specific for that device only. The update itself is described as fixing ‘an issue that could impact cellular performance and reliability for iPhone 4S’.

It’s not clear yet if the update fixes the Exchange bug that many corporate networks have been experiencing with iOS devices running iOS 6.1, particularly since the update has been described as being directed towards fixing 3G performance issues.
