Pocket For Mac Gets An Awesome Update

The developers behind the popular reading app Pocket (the artist formerly known as Read It Later), have released a substantial update for the Mac version of the app. The update for the Pocket app, initially released on the Mac App Store late last month free of charge, brings with it a number of new features including nifty integration with Twitter and Facebook, as well as greater support for sharing and organisation of content. The full list of changes is below:

  • Native support of Twitter and Facebook in Mountain Lion
  • Twitter sharing now supports multiple Twitter accounts in Mountain Lion
  • Evernote sharing rebuilt for easier tagging, commenting and improved authentication
  • Added support for Evernote China Yinxiang Biji (印象笔记)
  • New keyboard shortcuts including Open item in background and toggle between Home, Favorites, Archive, and Content Type
  • Enabled Printing
  • Added Pocket for Mac URL scheme – pocket://

The app itself is really cool, and while there was never anything wrong or limited with the Pocket web service, this just gives users an extra level of usability.  The full list of the updates and fixes are on the Pocket website.
