The specs for the 13 inch Retina Display MacBook Pro, expected to be revealed at today’s media event hosted by Apple, have been posted by 9to5Mac and they look to be awesome. According to the site, the new device will ship in three configurations, all of which with 8GB of RAM. There will be one with a 2.5GHz processor and 128GB of solid state storage, a bumped storage version with a 2.5GHz processor and 256GM of SSD storage, and a maxed out version with a 2.9GHz processor and 512GB SSD.
That is in contrast to the 15 inch Retina Display MacBook Pro which currently ships with 2.3GHz and 2.6GHz Quad Core processors (turbo boosted up to 3.3 and 3.6 GHZ respectively), and with 256GB and 512GB SSD storage.
The base model is expected to start at either $1599 or $1699 so that’s a good amount of bang for your buck.
