With many people looking forward to the unveiling of the iPad mini (or iPad Air as it may be called), at the Apple media event on Tuesday, October 23, the immediate question that follows on from the appearance will be the day that the new device actually goes on sale. Well, according to a few rumors, TechCrunch being the latest, the message that seems to be consistently coming forward is that the new iPad mini will be shipping on November 2.
The information comes from a source that is apparently close to the Apple supply chain, and it is likely that there will an extremely significant logistics ramp up as Apple prepares for the launch in multiple countries. Note that the date above refers to the date that the new iPad mini will arrive in stores, so if Apple are offering a pre-order system for the new device then this may come a few days earlier.
Recent reports have pointed towards a $329 launch price for the base model of the iPad mini, but we’ll find out what the price points and launch dates are on Tuesday.
