Following on from a report saying that Apple was planning to introduce a brand new 13 inch Retina Display MacBook Pro at the iPad mini event scheduled for October 23, 9to5Mac have upped their original ante and are saying that the Mac mini will also be receiving a significant update. The new versions of the Mac mini will apparently adhere to the existing lineup and will be offered in two desktop versions and a server version. It’s likely the new models will receive updated processors, graphics and USB 3.0 compatibility.
If you actually look at the pattern that is emerging for this event, then you’ll see that Apple is planning to release a smaller iPad mini, a smaller 13 inch MacBook Pro and an updated Mac mini. Is it any wonder, therefore, that the event will likely have a ‘small’ theme.
It couldn’t be as simple as ‘good things come in small packages’… could it?
