Apple Issues New iOS 6 Beta To Developers

Apple has released a new build of the beta version of the new iOS 6 software to developers, bringing the new OS closer to release. The company has released the fourth beta of iOS 6 just three weeks after the third beta was released and is available only to registered members of the Apple iOS Developer program (via 9to5Mac). The update is available as an ‘over the air’ and weighs in at around 280MB.

There has been no word from Apple on when they will officially unleash iOS 6 on the public but the smart money is on the fact that they will announce the release date at a rumored event to be held on September 12. It is at this event that the company is believed to be unveiling the iPhone 5 and rumors have strongly suggested pre-orders for the device starting on September 21. It is therefore reasonable to assume that, should this information be accurate, iOS 6 will likely make an appearance at the end of September as well.

The new iOS software will have over 200 new features including a brand new maps application and full Facebook integration. For more on iOS 6, visit the Apple Preview page here.
