Apple Store iOS App Gets A Boost

Apple has released an update for its Apple Store iOS app which adds a little more customization ability for users looking to purchase a Mac. As part of the update, users can now elect to have the iWork applications Numbers, Pages or Keynote pre-installed on any Mac they purchase, a feature that was also recently added to the online Apple Store website. Each app costs $19.99 which is the equivalent of what it would cost if purchasing from the App Store after receiving a new device.

The update to the app also brings with it ‘performance enhancements’ but there is no detail on what these are. Certainly the Apple Store app is one of the best designed and easiest to use shopping apps available on iOS, and offers a wealth of functionality. Sadly, there is no enhanced version available for the iPad yet, as the app remains iPod touch and iPhone optimized only.

The updated app is available free on the App Store.
