New Retina Display MacBook Pro Gets Staggeringly Awesome Upgrade Options

Apple has updated their online retail store today and, as part of the revisions, is now offering some amazing configuration options for the new Retina Display MacBook Pro (via MacRumors). As part of the revision, customers can upgrade the base model of the MacBook Pro (starting at $2199), with extra SSD storage to the tune of 512MB and 768MB (although the 768 MB upgrade is going to set you back a whopping $1000.

Buyers can also upgrade the processor of their new MacBook Pro from the 2.3 GHz chip to 2.6 GHz. This is much more affordable with only $100 being charged for the upgrade (instead of having to fork over an extra $600 to get the speed bump paired with a storage bump). For those of you who are willing to drop the cash, the top tier configuration for the new MacBook Pro comes in at $3,749, without accessories.

Still, it’s worth it.  Isn’t it?

Update: MacRumors reports some options are appearing sporadically so all the options may not be available just yet.

Well Configured…
