A number of third party manufacturers have started making accessories and writing books about the highly rumored, and as yet unannounced iPad mini, with some interesting results. One reader has spotted that The Snugg, a popular accessory maker for Apple products has stated their intention to supply third party cases for the device by stating “The rumours are true! We ARE making cases for the upcoming iPad mini / iPad nano”.
One French author has even managed to start writing a book on the device (shown above), and is selling it on Amazon.com, despite the slight hitch of never having seen one. And, as spotted by 9to5Mac, the manufacturer DeviceWear posted a page with some iPad mini case designs, and then very quickly removed the page.
At the very least, it’s going to be rather amusing if Apple end up releasing a device that has a completely different design than has been postulated in many of the rumors about the iPad mini. It wouldn’t be the first time that a case manufacturer has invested in developing cases for unannounced, and ultimately unreleased, Apple products.
