The fantastic writing application for OS X, Byword, has just received an update, bringing full Retina Display compatibility to the application. The update, bringing the app to version 1.5.2, means that the app is now optimized for the new MacBook Pro with Retina Display so that users can enjoy the full awesome experience of using Byword in Retina-Vision. The update also brings with it minor bug and stability fixes.
For those of you who aren’t familiar with the app, Byword is published by Metaclassy and is described as the ‘easiest way to write Markdown and rich text on your Mac’. The app itself is a pleasure to use with focus writing features and full iCloud integration. The Retina update means it’s also going to be compatible for any next generation rumored iMac and MacBook Air models with Retina Display.
Byword also offers iOS apps for the iPhone and iPad which sync with the Mac app beautifully. The Mac app is actually 50% off at the moment for a limited time and is only $4.99. You can grab it from the Mac App Store right now.
