Rumor: Amazing New Photos Of Next Generation iPhone 5 Appear

In a spectacular development, new pictures of what is thought to be the next generation iPhone 5 have appeared. In a discovery by 9to5Mac, pictures of what appear to be black and white models of the iPhone 5 have surfaced which show a device that has significant differences from the existing iPhone models. The first major difference is that the pictures appear to show a device that a metal rear panel that is also integrated into metal on the sides of the iPhone. The metal on the rear side of the iPhone is covered in some sort of paint or trim covering the only the rear side.

The second major revelation from the pictures is the presence of a smaller dock connector on the underside of the device. Apple has long been rumored to be switching to this smaller dock connector from the universal dock connector found in the current generation iPhone, iPad and iPod line up, in an attempt to save internal space, and from these pictures it certainly seems as if this is the case.

Another observation is that Apple appears to have shifted the earphone port from the top of the device down to the bottom corner. This is accompanied by a major redesign of the speakers on the bottom of the device, making them apparently much larger.

The site also posts a picture of the front panel of the new iPhone and it looks like the rumors of the larger screen are also true. The new iPhone has a screen that is much larger vertically, but the same width horizontally as the existing iPhone. This is consistent with rumors that Apple would be incorporating a 4 inch screen into the new device although it’s unclear what the implications are for developers in the context of displaying apps in the new resolution.

Whether these pictures are real or fake, the new device displayed in them certainly looks beautiful.

Looks a lot like MicroSD on the dock. Maybe they are finally going to add the convenience of using today’s standard technology?

Definitely not a Thunderbolt. It’s no where near the shape of the current TB port.

notice the headphone connector on the bottom, on the left side.
