Apple has unveiled a new part of their ‘Think Green’ campaign where the company is offering a trade in value of up to £100 (approx $150) on a new Mac in the UK (via MacWorld). The company has unveiled a program that is available between now and June 17 whereby selected Apple Premium Resellers will offer a £100 trade in against a new Mac when customers bring in their old Mac or PC.
The deal has been suggested as a strategy to maintain purchasing rates on existing models of Apple’s Mac line up. This is particularly important in the context of recent rumors that have pegged brand new models of the iMac, MacBook Pro and MacBook Air as launching soon. The new models are expected to have some dramatic improvements over previous models, specifically Retina Display and Intel Ivy Bridge processors.
The Think Green offer is available for customers looking to purchase a Mac Pro, a MacBook Air, MacBook Pro or an iMac. Notably, the trade-in is not offered with the Mac mini. In addition, not all Apple Premium Resellers will be taking part in the offer so it’s worth checking ahead before trying to claim it. AT Computers and Stormfront are two of the stores who are offering the deal.
