Rumor: Confirmation Of October 7th iPhone 5 Launch, Pre-Orders Begin September 30th

In a coming together of rumored iPhone 5 launch dates, 9to5Mac has apparently received independent confirmation of the rumored October 7th launch date for the iPhone 5. The date comes from an earlier report by TiPb placing the launch of Apple’s next generation iPhone at the beginning of October of this year.

However, one of the most interesting parts of the 9to5Mac report is that they have revealed that Apple will be allowing iPhone 5 pre-orders beginning September 30th.  This is in stark contrast to the launch of the iPad 2 where no pre-orders were offered, resulting in massive lines at Apple Stores for weeks on end with consumers given little or no information on when stock would be received.

The report obviously comes with the caveat that Apple could change launch plans at any time but the fact that two well-respected sources have independently confirmed the information makes this some fairly reliable info.

Hotly Tipped…
