Review And Giveaway: ‘Snap!’ For iOS Devices

A cool iPhone and iPod Touch application that I love just received an update today, and to celebrate, we are giving away five copies for AppleBitch readers. The app is Snap!, a cool program that enables you to write directly on your photographs, allowing for easy annotation and customization.

Using Snap! is incredibly easy and it is especially useful for social networking and uploading photos to Twitter or FaceBook.  You simply have to ‘snap’ a photo using the app and then annotate it with whatever you want and then fling it straight off to whatever networking site you want or send via e-mail.  You can even adjust the focus and exposure within the app to highlight a subject, and your original photo is kept saved.

The new version of has a number of updates including:

- The annotated image is saved even if you leave the app while on the annotation screen
- Double click to add a note
- Change text & background color
- Change text font & size
- Send to printer using AirPrint
- UI Improvements

I like using Snap! because it is one of those apps that does a task efficiently and cleanly, and does it well.  The simplicity of use is fantastic and once you start using it, you’ll find that you can’t help but annotate before you fire pics off to FaceBook or Twitter.  It is great being able to point something out in a photo directly rather than having to type out a legend…perfect for traveling.

You can pick up the app from iTunes for $1.99 which is great value, but we also have five copies courtesy of CodeCrop to give away.  Just make sure you follow us on Twitter before Tuesday 19th April at 3pm EST and we will pick five of our followers to receive a copy.

Snap! It Up…

They have a problem. I tried to find it on my iphone searching for Snap or Snap! on the App Store App and it did not come up. So I fired up the MBP clicked on the link above and bought it. FYI I’m sure they are losing sales.

I’ve been looking for an app like this. Due to a brain injury, I have short-term memory loss. Therefore, I have to use memory cues quite a bit. I’ve bought several apps that were supposed to do something similar, but so far, none have done what I need. Thanks for the nice review, this looks promising. If I don’t win it, I’ll go out on a limb and give it a shot.
