Apple has released an iOS update for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch bring the version to 4.3.1. The new software, which has not yet been released for the Verizon iPhone 4, includes a number of fixes which include:
- Fixes an occasional graphics glitch on iPod Touch
- Resolves bugs related to activating and connecting to some cellular networks
- Fixes image flicker when using Apple Digital AV adapter with some TVs
- Resolves an issue authenticating with some enterprise web services
It should be noted that there is no mention of any battery life fixes although this may be covered under the second bullet point as repeated disconnects and reconnects can drain battery life very quickly. BoyGeniusReport, who apparently got hold of the update early, noted that anecdotal evidence suggested that battery life was slightly improved with the new update although this was not confirmed.
The full update is available now through iTunes.
