The 10 billionth app download from the iTunes Store is getting close and ever-generous Apple have launched a huge competition to win a $10,000 iTunes gift card for those who enter. You can either do so by purchasing an app from the iTunes store which will gain you one entry or you can simply visit here to fill out an entry form which doesn’t require a purchase. You can enter up to 25 times in one day and you can do so every day until the competition closes (which, of course, will be when the 10 billionth app download takes place). Apple only hit the one billion app milestone in April 2009 after 9 months. It’s only taken a further 21 months to reach 10 billion. That’s a massive achievement.
